Congress has been working on mental health and substance use legislation all year which would reauthorize critical programs, expand access to critical services in Medicare and Medicaid, and further telehealth and parity, among other important goals. But none of these programs will be enacted unless they are part of the end of the year legislative package. We need that package to include the legislation and also provide sufficient resources to address the ongoing mental health and substance use crises.
